Sion launching lobster pot

I have been fishing on a commercial basis since 1987 when I was 14 years old. At that time I had 25 lobster pots. Today I work 650 pots with a 6 metre catamaran which is fully coded for charter work.

My main catch is lobster and crab, which are caught on  the north side of the Llŷn Peninsula, from Bardsey Sound to Tudweiliog and up to 6 miles off shore. I also net and line fish for sea bass, cod and mullet. Since building the catamaran 2 years ago,

Charter Fishing and Sight seeing Trips

north Llyn Peninsula coastI have started carrying out charter work, which consists of fishing trips and sight seeing trips along the north Llŷn coast. Fishing trips range from a minimum of 2 hours up to a full day charter. Fishing tackle is provided as is tuition for beginners.

The sight seeing trips take about 2 hours and include an opportunity to see the beautiful coastline of the Llŷn with possible sightings of many seabirds, seals, dolphins and porpoises.

During these trips a few lobster pots are hauled to show passengers how lobsters and crabs are caught and how the pots are fished.
